The Story
The Witcher series explains that there is a group of people called witchers, who are extremely powerful and trained to destroy the monsters of the world. To gain their powers, they undergo a process involving certain herbs and potions, and because of this, they are forbidden from marrying or having children. All witchers must obey this rule. But the main character found himself in a situation where he had to ask a favor after helping others, and the emperor and rulers offered to give him anything for his service. He asked only for a daughter — and the daughter turned out to be the queen's own child.
The storyline then jumps forward many years, to when the child has grown into a girl who must flee her palace because enemies have attacked. The queen tells her to find the witcher.
